INPAVI receives two awards honorary in the commemoration of the International Day of Volunteering
From Integration to the Life in Spain, we are of the conclusion, since in the same week as the company celebrated the International Volunteer Day, our NGO has received two awards honors: the “State prize of the Institution of Volunteering” granted by the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and the Agenda 2030 of the Government of Spain in Avilés, Asturias, in its THIRTEENTH Congress State of Volunteering on December 5, 2024; and “Award in the category of Social Volunteering” to INPAVI Alicante and Valencia, delivered by the Platform Volunteer of the Valencian Community in its NINTH edition of its Awards Volunteer 2024, the 4th of December.
In INPAVI we have a team of volunteer made up of more than 700 people who give selflessly of their time on behalf of families in poverty and/or social exclusion that serves the entity, in particular more than 1,100 families in Spain. The State Awards for Volunteerism and recognize the voluntary action of individuals and legal entities who work for the visibility and awareness of the most vulnerable groups through volunteer programs with those who favor equality of opportunity and non-discrimination, the pursuit of social transformation and to achieve social improvement, both in people and in their environments.
Award-winning 2024:
- State prize of the Institution of Volunteering: Integration to the Life.
- State prize of the Volunteer Program: Training and awareness-raising in the field of intervention with women in social exclusion survivors of gender-based violence, of AND, The Network of Care for Addictions.
- National prize for Research on Volunteering: Volunteer companies: a review of the concept and an analysis of the situation in Spain, from a gender perspective, of Ana Lor Serrano.
On the other hand, the award granted by the Platform Volunteer of the C. Valenciana has been the “Award in the category of Social Volunteering” for INPAVI Valencian Community (Alicante and Valencia), recognizing the outstanding of our company in the field of social inclusion in the autonomous community. In the last gala of delivery of the IX Rewards of Volunteering, the Platform publicly acknowledged the work of those who, with their solidarity and commitment, have been essential to meet the challenges of the last year; an act which highlighted the effort of the volunteers and reinforced the importance of its role as a motor, transformer in our society.
After what happened in Valencia after the catastrophe of the Dana, our 80 volunteers in INPAVI Valencia were from minute one helping survivors. From the neighborhood of the Tower where our headquarters have been delivered to around 20,000 kg of food, more than 5,500 clothing and blankets, 20 mattresses, hygiene products, cleaning and child, dinnerware, small appliances,... Supplying not only the basic needs of the affected, but also offering, emotional support, legal and psychological going to help to 156 beneficiary families, to attend to today, more than 270 families in situations of social vulnerability.
