Technical Director, IN4LIFE International
It all began in 1983, when Luis Sagarra and his wife Coralia Peniche founded the church "Centro de Vida Cristiana" in Mexico City.
Having experienced God’s love and a deep transformation in their own lives, they felt a strong desire to serve a world in great need by offering real, unconditional help to the most vulnerable. In doing so, they sought to put into practice the great commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.”
— Matthew 22:37–39
They began to see many needs around them—people silently suffering from poverty, addiction, violence, and abandonment. In the face of this, how could they express God’s love without taking real and tangible action? They couldn’t remain still—they had to do something to help those who were suffering. That’s how they chose to “stand in the gap” by lending a helping hand.
They started small social initiatives aimed at homeless children, impoverished families, and individuals battling addiction. But they soon realized that wanting to help is not enough—you also have to know how to help.
Little by little, they developed strategies and working models that led to real, effective, and transparent support for the community. This gave birth to Integration for Life (IN4LIFE).
IN4LIFE is the social outreach branch of the Centro de Vida Cristiana church. Its MISSION is to offer HOLISTIC (not just charitable) and TRANSFORMATIVE support—both to those who need help and to those who need to help others.
Today, IN4LIFE is a nonprofit NGO present in Mexico, Spain, Chile, and Canada. It operates independently from any political or professional organizations, offering help without discrimination and treating everyone—members and beneficiaries alike—equally.
IN4LIFE is made up of hundreds of professionals and collaborators, along with over 1,700 volunteers. All of them are deeply committed to our MISSION, giving their best and standing in the gap for individuals and families suffering from poverty, exclusion, addiction, violence, and loneliness. They’re also committed to lending a helping hand to society as a whole—to help foster a sense of shared responsibility and encourage selfless service as a way out of the spiritual poverty that traps those who only “live for themselves.”
The values that guide IN4LIFE’s work include solidarity, responsibility, freedom, social justice, hope, and integrity. But above all, our core motivation and the value that drives everything we do is to GIVE LOVE to people by offering help without expecting anything in return.
We at IN4LIFE know we can’t provide everything people need—jobs, housing, education… The needs are too many to meet them all. But we can equip people with tools and holistic support that help them take steps in the right direction. We can support every member of a family so they can regain hope and learn to manage stress and frustration in constructive ways. We can walk alongside them in their transformation journey and help them see their situation from a new perspective. We can guide them to make better decisions that speed up their process of change, and we can raise awareness among companies, institutions, and volunteers to rally in support of those in need.
In the midst of the deep inequality and vast needs in our society, IN4LIFE says: “YES, IT’S POSSIBLE.” It’s possible to change, to improve one’s quality of life, to join forces and give our best. It’s possible to keep helping those in greatest need. YES, TRANSFORMATION IS POSSIBLE.
However, none of this would be possible without the support of individuals, organizations, and companies. That’s why we want to say: THANK YOU.
To every one of our volunteers: THANK YOU!
Thank you to each and every one of you who make this work possible. Thank you for every minute, hour, and day you spend serving. Thank you for your perseverance, your care, your generosity, and your dedication. Thank you for always being there and giving your best—without expecting anything in return.
To our entire team of professionals and collaborators who make IN4LIFE a real, effective, and transparent source of help: THANK YOU!
And finally, on behalf of all the people being helped through IN4LIFE, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to every individual, institution, and company that supports us with resources, tools, services, and more to make all this possible. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
In short, IN4LIFE is a meeting point between those who need help and those who need to help. Every action we take is an opportunity to improve the quality of life of those we serve—and an opportunity for you to serve and help by lending a helping hand.
Our slogan is: “Come… We lend a helping hand.”
So… Do you need help? Come, we want to help you.
Do you need to help? Come, we invite you to lend a helping hand to others.
