Families of Malaga and Granada involved in the prevention of substance use and other behaviors

 

INPAVI been carried out during the year 2024 the program “CONNETING TEENS in our headquarters in Malaga and Granada an initiative focused on the prevention of substance use and other addictive behaviors in adolescents in a situation of vulnerability.

Throughout the year, we have carried out a number of actions with the aim of strengthening healthy attitudes and provide tools to prevent addictions.

30 young people at risk of social exclusion have participated in workshops designed to:

  • Strengthen your self-esteem
  • Improve your decision making
  • Develop social skills that help them to move away from the consumption of harmful substances.

In addition, 30 families have received specific training to develop strategies of prevention, intervention and support in the education of their children with group and individual sessions in which they have worked on key aspects such as:

  • Family engagement
  • Prevention of addiction
  • Guidance in case of risk

Also, with the program we have reached 150 adolescents in educational institutions through the workshop “Connecting Teens, where we have fostered alternative attitudes to consumption and has provided essential information for the prevention of addictive behaviours.

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health and Consumption of the Board of Andalusia   that has allowed us to generate a significant impact in the community by promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing the risk of addiction among adolescents and their families.

INPAVI reaffirms its commitment to the prevention and social well-being, thereby contributing to building a healthier future for the youth.
