Prevention involves all of us

In INPAVI Mexico City, we are convinced that prevention is the most powerful tool to build a more just society, informed, and safe. Especially when it comes to protecting the integrity and the rights of the child, the preventive action becomes an inescapable responsibility that we should take as a community.
Therefore, we conducted a talk extremely significant on “Prevention of sexual violence”, guided by two experts who are committed to the protection of human rights: the Ba in Social Work Feer Contreras and Mtra. in Criminal Law, Olivia Olvera Solano.

During the session, addressed the key issues for parents, mothers, caregivers, and professionals, such as:
The importance of education, and open dialogue in the family.
The difference between the concepts of sexual abuse and rape.
The meaning of NNA (Children and Adolescents) as a subject full of rights.
The different types of child sexual abuse and its manifestations.
The legal language related to the complaint and follow-up of these crimes.
And, above all, how to accompany and empower the childhood so that they can recognize, name, and prevent situations of risk.

Because a child informed is a child protected.
At the same time, our children participated in a parallel session, designed in a playful manner and adapted to their age, where they learned practical tools to protect their integrity. Through dynamic, accessible, strengthened their confidence and learning to identify personal boundaries clearly and safely.
In INPAVI we believe that prevention is not the exclusive task of specialists, but a shared commitment between families, institutions and civil society. Every conversation, every space of listening and every educational action adds to an environment more protective for the new generations.

✨ Let's keep learning together. Prevention starts with the information, but it is strengthened with the active participation of all.
